Promethean panels sometimes lose their internet connection, stop syncing with Google Drive, or become slow. Here are the most common fixes.
Panel Won't Connect to Wi-Fi or the Internet
- Restart the panel — not just the screen. Use the power button on the back/bottom of the panel. Hold it down until the panel fully shuts off, wait 10 seconds, then turn it back on.
- Once rebooted, check the Wi-Fi settings (swipe down from the top of the panel to access the quick settings menu) and confirm it's connected to the correct campus network.
- If the network doesn't appear, try manually selecting it from the available networks list.
- If it still won't connect, check if other devices in the room have internet. If nothing has internet, the issue may be a campus network outage — contact IT.

"Can't Refresh" Error for Google Slides or Drive
If Google Slides or Drive shows "Can't refresh. Check your network and try again":
-
Clear the browser cache on the panel:
- Open the Promethean browser (Chrome).
- Tap the three-dot menu > Settings > Privacy > Clear browsing data.
- Select Cached images and files and Cookies. Clear them.
- Sign out and back into your Google account on the panel.
- Restart the panel (full power cycle, not just sleep).
- If Drive says "Sync is off," go to Drive settings on the panel and re-enable sync.

Panel Is Slow or Takes Forever to Load
- Close unused apps. Too many open apps slow down the panel.
- Clear the cache (see steps above).
- Restart the panel. Panels that haven't been restarted in weeks will accumulate performance issues.
- Avoid opening heavy websites or multiple video streams simultaneously.
