If Google Drive files aren't updating on your Promethean panel or you can't access your Drive content, these steps will help you re-establish the sync and get back to your lesson.
Step 1: Check the Panel's Internet Connection
Google Drive requires an active internet connection. If the panel shows "No internet" or pages aren't loading, resolve that first — see What to Do When the Panel Won't Connect to Wi-Fi or the Internet.
Step 2: Sign Out and Back In to Google
A stale or expired Google session is the most common cause of Drive sync issues on panels.
- Open Chrome on the panel.
- Click your profile icon (top-right corner of Chrome).
- Click Sign out.
- Sign back in with your @acarcs.org or @redlandschristian.org account.
- Navigate to drive.google.com and check whether your files are now accessible.
Step 3: Clear Chrome Cache on the Panel
- In Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + Delete (or use the panel's keyboard if attached).
- Set time range to All time.
- Check Cached images and files and Cookies and other site data.
- Click Clear data, then reload Google Drive.
Step 4: Restart the Panel
- Hold the power button for 3–5 seconds and select Restart.
- Once rebooted, open Chrome and sign in to Google Drive again.
Step 5: Check Google Account Permissions
Sometimes Drive access is restricted by your account's session settings:
- Go to myaccount.google.com/permissions on any device.
- Look for any revoked app permissions that might affect Drive access.
- If you recently changed your Google password, you'll need to sign in again on the panel.
Tip: Use Drive in the Browser Instead of the App
Accessing drive.google.com directly in Chrome is more reliable on panels than using any installed Drive app or widget. Bookmark the URL in Chrome on your panel for quick access.
