Happy Sunday, RCS! Eagle Byte here with Issue #10 of Eagle Tech Weekly. Steve and the IT crew put this together each week to keep you in the loop on what your tech team is up to.
This Week: Summer-Proof Your Tech
Summer is the perfect time for a tech reset. Here are 5 things to do before you log off that will make August a lot smoother:
- Save everything to OneDrive — Desktop files aren't backed up. OneDrive is.
- Update your passwords — especially if you haven't since the start of the school year.
- Set up MFA now — IT is pushing Multi-Factor Authentication enrollment in August. Get ahead of it with the guide on the Help Center. Takes 5 minutes.
- Submit IT requests before August 1 — the team goes heads-down on infrastructure in mid-July. Submit tickets now.
- Return damaged devices — bring limping Chromebooks, iPads, or chargers to IT so we can fix them over the summer.
"Good IT isn't about the tools. It's about the habits."
