Reporting live from inside the help desk, where this week's greatest hits included a BenQ panel with serious commitment issues, some mall screens in full crisis mode, and a very earnest request to whitelist kiddie search results in Spanish. Byte handled all of it. Three new guides later, your classroom tech situation is looking considerably brighter.
This week's tickets included gems like...

Your Classroom Tech Just Got a Guide
Picture this: it's 3 PM, your panel won't connect, and the class is staring at you. No pressure. Classroom technology topped the support charts this week - specifically BenQ interactive displays doing their best impression of very expensive wall art. The most common fix? The Input button on the remote. It cycles through sources and resolves roughly 60% of 'my panel is broken' tickets before IT even picks up the phone. The good news: the IT team published three new BenQ Board training guides this week in the Help Center. They cover connectivity, initial setup, and the settings teachers ask about most. Whether you're brand new to the panels or just dealing with an input that won't cooperate, there's a guide with your name on it. And this summer, 15 new BenQ panels are coming to the Lower School campus. More classroom tech is arriving - so the guides showed up right on time.

// the story this week.
M365 Advisory In Effect This Week
Microsoft reported active service advisories this week affecting several tools RCS staff use daily - including Exchange Online (email), Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Defender XDR, and core Microsoft 365 apps. Some users may have experienced email delays, Teams call issues, or intermittent login slowness. IT is monitoring the situation. If you experienced any of these symptoms this week, it was likely related to Microsoft's infrastructure and not a local issue. Most advisories are resolving on Microsoft's end without any action needed from campus. For real-time service status, bookmark status.office365.com. It's the fastest way to check whether an issue is Microsoft's problem or something local before filing a ticket.

// byte tip of the week
BenQ panel not connecting? Hit the Input button on the remote before anything else. It cycles through HDMI, USB-C, and wireless - and it resolves about 60% of 'my panel is broken' tickets instantly. Byte tested it. Byte approves. (The other 40% are a different story, but that's what the Help Center guides are for.)
