Overview
This one is for Lower School admins managing the IXL site license: teacher accounts, the student roster, and school wide reporting.
Steps
- Sign in at ixl.com with your administrator account, marked with a mountain icon.
- Go to Account > License info to confirm the site license contact info and find the account's activation key.
- Go to Roster > Teachers to add, edit, or delete teacher accounts. Teachers can also self register using the activation key from License info.
- Go to Roster > Students for the master student list. Add, edit, deactivate, or reactivate students here, or upload a roster file to add many at once.
- Use Analytics for school wide reporting: Achievement, Engagement, Skill Performance, Assessment, and Live School. These cover every student on the license, not just one class.
- Add another admin from the same account settings if a second person needs administrator access.
Troubleshooting
- Teacher lost their login? Reset it from Roster > Teachers rather than having them create a second account.
- New students not showing up for a teacher? Confirm they were added to the master roster and assigned to that teacher's class.
- Need more seats? Contact your IXL account rep using the license contact info under Account > License info.
