Many RCS licensed apps use Clever as a single sign-on (SSO) portal, which means you sign in once and access multiple platforms without separate passwords. This guide explains how to use Clever to access IXL, Canva, McGraw-Hill, and other apps.
What Is Clever?
Clever is the RCS digital learning portal. It automatically syncs with your school Google account so there are no separate usernames or passwords for most apps.
Accessing Clever
- Go to clever.com/in/acarcs (or the link provided by your teacher/IT).
- Click Log in with Google.
- Sign in with your @acarcs.org Google account.
- You'll see your Clever dashboard with all your assigned apps.
Launching IXL from Clever
- Log in to Clever as above.
- Find the IXL tile on your dashboard.
- Click it — you'll be signed in to IXL automatically with your school account.
- If IXL isn't on your dashboard, ask your teacher — they may need to assign it to your class.
Launching Canva from Clever
- Log in to Clever and find the Canva for Education tile.
- Click it to launch Canva — you'll be signed in automatically.
- Important: Always access Canva through Clever to ensure you're using the school account, not a personal Canva account. Personal accounts don't have the Canva for Education features.
Launching McGraw-Hill from Clever
- Log in to Clever and find your McGraw-Hill product (e.g., ConnectED, Wonders, or Reveal Math).
- Click the tile to launch. Your class and assignments should load automatically.
- If your courses or assignments aren't showing, contact your department head — course rosters may need to be updated.
App Not Showing in Clever?
If an app you need isn't visible on your Clever dashboard:
- Students: Ask your teacher — they control which apps appear in your portal.
- Teachers/Staff: Contact IT to verify the app is licensed for your role and properly configured in Clever.
