Adobe Licensing at RCS — How to Activate Your License

RCS provides Adobe Creative Cloud licenses to eligible staff. This guide explains how to activate your Adobe license and sign in on your school-issued device.

Who Gets an Adobe License?

Adobe Creative Cloud licenses are assigned to specific staff roles. If you believe you need an Adobe license for your work and don't have one, submit a request to IT.

Activating Adobe Creative Cloud

  1. On your school-issued laptop, open the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app. If it's not installed, download it from creativecloud.adobe.com.
  2. Click Sign In.
  3. Enter your @acarcs.org email address.
  4. When prompted to choose an account type, select Company or School Account.
  5. Adobe Creative Cloud will activate and show your licensed apps.

⚠️ Do not sign in with a personal Adobe ID — using a personal account bypasses the school license and will not give you access to the full Creative Cloud suite.

Installing Adobe Apps

  1. Once signed in to Creative Cloud, click Apps in the left sidebar.
  2. Find the app you need (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Acrobat, etc.).
  3. Click Install.
  4. The app will download and install automatically.

Adobe on a Personal Device

Your RCS Adobe license may allow installation on up to 2 devices. To activate on a personal computer, follow the same sign-in steps above using your school email. Note that your license is tied to your employment — it will deactivate when you leave RCS.

Troubleshooting: "You Don't Have Access" Error

  • Make sure you signed in with Company or School Account, not personal.
  • Try signing out of Creative Cloud completely and signing back in.
  • If the error persists, contact IT — your license may need to be reassigned in the Adobe admin console.
