If your Chromebook is being repaired, lost, or unusable, you may be eligible for a loaner device while yours is out of service. Here's how to request one.
Who Can Request a Loaner?
- Students whose school-issued Chromebook is actively being repaired by IT
- Staff who need a temporary device during a repair or replacement
- Loaner availability is subject to current IT inventory — requests are handled on a first-come, first-served basis
How to Request a Loaner
- Submit a ticket at acarcs.zendesk.com or email itsupport@redlandschristian.org.
- Include the following in your request:
- Your name and grade/homeroom or department
- The asset tag of your primary Chromebook (if known)
- The reason you need a loaner (e.g., "my Chromebook has a cracked screen and is being repaired")
- How long you expect to need the loaner
- IT will confirm availability and arrange for you to pick up the loaner device.
Loaner Chromebook Rules
- Treat the loaner with the same care as your primary device
- Do not install apps or change settings on the loaner that aren't permitted on your regular device
- Return the loaner as soon as your primary device is repaired or replaced
- Damage to a loaner device is subject to the same policies as damage to a primary device
Returning the Loaner
When your primary Chromebook is ready, IT will contact you. Return the loaner to the IT office and collect your repaired device. Please return all accessories (charger, case) that came with the loaner.
