If you're visiting RCS — whether for a board meeting, parent event, or guest presentation — and need to print something while on campus, this article explains your options.
Can I Connect My Device to an RCS Printer?
No. Campus printers are managed by IT and connected to the RCS network. Personal devices (laptops, phones, tablets) cannot connect to campus printers directly.
If you need something printed, use one of the options below.
Option 1: Ask an RCS Employee (Small Print Jobs)
If you only need a few pages printed — a handout, meeting agenda, or short document — ask the RCS staff member who invited you or is hosting your visit. They can print it for you from their device or the nearest copy room.
This is the fastest option for small jobs and doesn't require a ticket.
Option 2: Submit a Request to IT (Larger or Recurring Needs)
If you need to print a larger document, need recurring access, or have a specific printing need that a staff member can't handle:
- Have the RCS staff member hosting your visit submit a ticket at acarcs.zendesk.com or email itsupport@redlandschristian.org.
- Include the following:
- Guest name and reason for the visit
- What needs to be printed and approximate page count
- When it's needed (date and time)
- Which campus the guest is visiting (Lower School, Middle School, Upper School)
- IT will review the request and determine the best way to assist — this may include printing the document for you or granting temporary access.
⚠️ Note: IT must verify all guest printing requests before granting access. This is to protect the security and availability of campus printing resources.
Tips for Visitors
- Send your document ahead of time. Email your file to the staff member hosting your visit before you arrive. They can print it and have it ready for you.
- Bring printed copies. If you know you'll need handouts, consider printing them before arriving on campus.
- USB drives are not supported on most campus devices due to security policies.
