Overview
Changing your Google account password regularly helps protect your RCS Google Workspace account. Follow the steps below to update your password from any browser.
Steps to Change Your Password
- Open your browser and go to myaccount.google.com.
- Sign in with your RCS Google account if prompted.
- Click Security in the left-hand navigation panel.
- Under the "How you sign in to Google" section, click Password.
- Enter your current password to verify your identity.
- Enter your new password and confirm it in the second field.
- Click Change Password.
Password Requirements
- Minimum 8 characters.
- Must include a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Do not reuse a recent password.
- Do not share your password with anyone, including IT staff.
Forgot Your Google Password?
If you can't remember your current password:
- Go to accounts.google.com/signin/recovery.
- Follow the prompts to verify your identity via a recovery email or phone number.
- If those options aren't available, contact IT — your school account password can be reset by an admin.
